Integrated Local Curriculum Development Based on Lotus Topic for Mattayom 4 Students, Nuannoradit WittayakhomI Ruchangkhlaphisek School, Area Offices

The purposes of this research were 1) to develop an integrated local curriculum based on lotus topic 2) to compare students achievement between pre-test and post-test, and 3) to study students satisfaction toward the integrated local curriculum based on lotus topic. The samples were divided to 2 groups; 1) directors, teachers, parents, local leaders, local knowledgeable people and students, and 2) Mattayomsuksa 4 students at Nuannoradit Wittayakhom Ruchamangkhlaphisek in the second semester, academic year of 2011. The research instruments were achievement test, attitude test, interview, survey and questionnaire. Mean, standard deviation and t-test were used for data analysis. The findings revealed that 1) the local curriculum was rated at very high level and the components of the curriculum were completed and suitable for local community environment. Also, it was appropriate to be applied for teaching and learning. 2) The students’ achievement after using the integrated local curriculum based on lotus topic was higher with statistic significant at .01 level, and 3) the students’ attitude toward the integrated local curriculum based on lotus topic was at high level.
