Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to develop and test the efficiency of the computer-assisted online instruction in computing science for Prathomsuksa 2 under 80/80 efficiency criteria, 2) to compare students’ learning achievement between those who were taught by computer-assisted online instruction and those taught by regular lesson plans, 3) to evaluate students’ satisfaction after using the computer-assisted online instruction. The sample consisted of 60 students divided into two groups: 1) 30 students who were taught by computer-assisted online instruction and 2) 30 students who were taught by regular lesson plans, selected by simple random sampling method. The research results were as follows: 1) the efficiency of the computer-assisted instruction was at 80.00/88.22, which met the selected efficient standard criteria of 80/80, 2) students’ achievements between two groups were significantly different at 0.05 level, 3) students satisfaction towards the computer-assisted instruction was at the highest level with a mean of 4.75 and 0.33 for standard deviation. The results also revealed that students agreed that the developed computer-assisted instruction was engaging, easy to understand with properly organized content linked to each lesson, which assisted students to have a better understanding of the content and gain more knowledge.
