Abstract
The objectives of this mixed method research study were 1) to study the Buddhist Leadership (BL) in terms of its definitions, components, and consequences towards Positive Organizational Behavior (POB), 2) to analyze the confirmatory factor of Buddhist leadership, and 3) to develop a training program to encourage Buddhist leadership in employees. Data was collected from 185 staff through in-depth interview, literature review, confirmatory factor analysis, and training. The results revealed that 1) the Buddhist leadership was defined as a process that individuals contribute their intellect, goodness, and knowledge to motivate others’ enthusiasm and willingness in order to meet their mutual aims under the Three practices and Four sublime states of mind, 2) there was a significant correlation between Buddhist leadership factors and empirical data at high level (Chi-square = 0.54, df =1, P-value = 0.460, RMSEA = 0.000), and 3) a significance difference was found in Buddhist leadership scores of participants at 0.01 level. The participants gained higher Buddhist leadership scores after each training.
